Bouldergeist is the one you are describing. There is a daredevil run to beat him. -- not the most challenging IMO but not the easiest either.

Yeah it wasn't the easiest level, but it wasn't too bad.

It really sucks that people are saying the game is easy. I thought Super Mario 64 was definitely a challenge, especially getting all 120 stars and Sunshine (which is under-rated by most people IMO) was even more of a step up in difficulty. I haven't been able to play this yet as I'm trying to get through the semester before it, but this is a major bummer to me. It needs to be easy (because kids will play it), but have a steep increase in challenge later on for all the hardcore gamers who love Mario.

FWIW whoever was saying Mario is better than Ocarina of Time and using the IGN score as a basis for that....Ocarina of Time got a 10.

It's not terribly difficult, but it's not easy. My 9 year old gave up after 1 galaxy because it was too hard, it has it's moments that are not too difficult, but it is not an easy game, It'll take a day to beat, and I don't know how long to try and get all the stars and everything.

I agree that this game is pretty easy. I generally suck at video games, but I haven't really had any trouble with it so far. I think I'm about 30 stars in. Haven't played a water level, yet, either. I'm looking forward to that...

There are definitely some harder/irritating levels that I've managed to blow 5 lives on so far(40 stars) even though the overall game is relatively easy. It is just like any other mario game imo, mostly easy levels and a few that will drive you nuts.

I'm 7 hours in with only like 24 stars.. but I'm trying to get every star and spend a lot of time trying to find all the hidden stuff.

I agree it seems a little easy, but this game is fantastic imo.

That stupid Sweet, Sweet Galaxy REALLY irritated me. I just get really impatient, really quickly and had a tough time just relaxing and working my way through it.
