IMO folding preflop > calling the flop bet

That said, I probably play it the same

Becuz you have no real read on villain I think calling the PF raise is fine even tho it is larger than std. PF raise. I don't like 3-bet, if you 3bet PF, and villain calls: if flop comes down like that, I see most of the chips getting in the middle. If flop comes scary, you are really going to have no choice but to fold even if all he has are two paint high cards.
-I feel like maybe a big PF raise might indicate weaker-medium PP and would like to really eliminate speculative hands. Big bet on flop might be indicating set?
-Also, is it possible that he is overbetting AsKs?

I think the flop overbet is overcards enough to make calling the flop profitable because the same type of player who will 4x and overbet with overcards will slow down on the turn if you call. But folding the flop is fine.

Who the hell uses "OP" as an abbreviation for overpair?

either raise or fold on the flop. a check/call doesn't really do much with a player that is raising 4x and making a huge bet on the flop. to me it seems like this player is a weak player and most likely the turn is not going to go check/check (which is what you are probably hoping for by check/calling the flop)
