I'll never understand why people want to believe silly speculation from hometown news/radio.

The offseason is the highlight of the year for them. It sure beats the hell out of me.

Kobe is an All-Star, a superstar, a franchise player.

Prince is a solid SF - marginally-above-average imo. Somewhat limited offensively, very good defensively.

[/ QUOTE ]

we're not that far apart.

[ QUOTE ]
Hamilton is grossly overrated - an average SG at best who looks better than he really is due to the team he's on.

[/ QUOTE ]

that's fine as long as some of the people overrating him are making decisions for the lakers.

[ QUOTE ]
A Detroit 1st is relatively inconsequential if they have Kobe.

[/ QUOTE ]

i agree it's worse than an average first.

[ QUOTE ]
Not sure which of the above you'd rate as an "All-Star" unless you're purely going by NBA All-Star selections

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah i was being literal.

Pistons play in an attractive Detroit suburb. Kobe could play 10 years for the Pistons and never set foot in Detroit.

They reported during the Mavs/Spurs game that they interviewed Dumars and he says that he hasn't even talked to the Lakers in weeks yet alone actually discussed any sort of deal.
