Default Mitt says: Kill Arabs, not Koopas.

[ QUOTE ]
It’s time to clean up the water in which our kids are swimming. I’ve proposed that we enforce our obscenity laws again and that we get serious against those retailers that sell adult video games that are filled with violence, that we go after those retailers.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe this belongs more in Video Games than Politics? I don't know.

Also, isn't this supposed to be a more Democratic position? I remember hearing similar things from Joe Lieberman prior to the 2000 election. The only reason I knew about it being 13 at the time was because the WWE parodied his TV watchdog group PTC, the Parents Television Council, with the RTC, Right to Censor, before the PTC settled out of court and paid the WWE for damages.

mitt isnt out of line with social conservatives.

the irony is the mullahs want the same things as american social conservatives, yet social conservatives wnat to goto war with the mullahs for their "controlling" philosophies.

Joe Lieberman btw is one of the most conservatives democrats and is very often at odds with his party. He ran his last campaign as an independent, in fact. He's been against bad lyrics in music and all things of that variety for a while.

Money quote: “The disturbing material in Grand Theft Auto and other games like it is stealing the innocence of our children and it’s making the difficult job of being a parent even harder,” said Senator Clinton. “I am announcing these measures today because I believe that the ability of our children to access pornographic and outrageously violent material on video games rated for adults is spiraling out of control.”

I know it is convenient to attack right wingers on issues like this, but there are plenty of liberals who don't like violent or sexually explicit movies, video games, or music etc...
