Technically u might be right but people still refer to their bets/raises in NL when describing hands that occurred using the term and also while at the table i have heard "3-bet/(s)" frequently, and then they pick a raise of their choosing.

I'm sorry. but if you say "I 3-bet" at a NL table, a few things will happen, none of which you have stated.

A: You will not be able to then 'pick a raise of your choosing'.
B: The dealer will have to correct you with something like "Sir, this is a no limit table. Raises must be declared in amounts, not bets."
C: From the moment you say '3-bet', you will be considered a limit monkey and people will surely start taking shots at you.

So in closing, I'm not trying argue or bust your balls here. I'm just saying........no.

Actually that is a great way to make sure that you get action. Works best if you can min raise someone on the turn during your first tne minutes.
