i think the flop overcall is especially ugly. there is no reason you should expect an overcall from a if you raise and b calls. you need to make a bigger raise on the river.

yeah either raise or fold the flop.

but i think the turn is more egregious - once you get there the way you did and it checks to you, for the love of god, BET!

villain a hates him and old nitty asian probably has an overpair for no other reason than that he raised preflop to 150 on 10/25 (this is a major event when old nitty guys make big raises prefllop)

I hate betting turn but preflop/flop looks really ugly

ok fair enough, betting turn probably makes the rest of the hand alot easier.

though, i dont know how often exactly villain b has (flopped/turned) set/overpair here but its often enough, he's going nowhere.

not too concerned with pf/f play i know its bad. its early in the session, i wanted to lay some groundwork. one of my hopes were that i could get to showdown with my hand after any turn/river and (perhaps) get snapped off firing a barrel in the process.

looking back at the hand i would have stacked them both if i bet turn ... [censored]
