Default party sunday million do i have any other options here

sorry i lost this hand history so i will do my best.

table is quite tight largest stack is 18000. every reraise i have made even against button mini-raises has been folded.

blinds: 300-600. 1500 out of 4800 players left - 750 cash

avg. chip stack
sb HERO- 9130 I hold A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
bb - 6000
3rd - fold
4th - fold
villian - raise 1500 - 9500 chips total 8000 left
6th - fold
7th - fold
8th - fold
9th - fold
button - fold.

I have seen a few hands of the villian that he has been forced to show due to small stacks going all in and the villian calling. they have ranged from middle pairs 77 88 to ace ten offsuit.

I opt his raise is weak and go all in trying to take the pot right there, with my tight aggressive table persona and at the very worst being a race situation.

he holds a [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] j [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hits a jack and i bust.

is there a better play here possibly raising to 2900 or there abouts and going all in on the flop on a semi bluff. it would eliminate his middle pairs if he had it. probably could not call with aj, but i could not rule out kq. any advice

Do yourself a favor and leave out results when you post hands. The question is not what should have been the move now that we know the results, but rather what should have been the move preflop when it was your turn to act, knowing only what you knew at the time.

Your push was standard. Sorry about the bad beat.
