Calling 3 bets cold
I've been seeing more and more of this at the tables, but I don't think I EVER do it; cap or fold for me.
Can anyone describe the type of situation where they might consider calling 3 bets cold preflop? Or do you view it as just pure spew? |

Re: Calling 3 bets cold
yes.
JT sooted, no matter what the situation, JTo is the same. Oh wait... you asked for what a solid player would do? I'm not sure I've ever called 3 cold. I see a lot of donks doing it with AA and KK as well, and I always find that weird. I'm sure it's good for deception, but the cap probably has more value than deception at 3/6 and 5/10. |

Re: Calling 3 bets cold
I remember that cold calling 3 with AK was advocated in some situations. The only time I do it myself is when I misclick.

[/ QUOTE ] if your read says you should only CC with AKo, because the other players are tight, then you should probably just fold AKo there. I have never cold called 3 in my life, and I don't think I ever will. |

Re: Calling 3 bets cold
Sometimes JJ,TT in SB against reasonable raisers.
You play the complete hand OOP, dont have a big preflop edge and dont want to have the initiative here. I'm not sure were i read this concept but it was a standard LHE book. |

Re: Calling 3 bets cold
dont know if it counts as "calling 3 cold", but after raise, coldcall, reraise i would call 2 more in the BB with pocket pairs hoping to win a monster pot when i flop a set.
