It's good to see two "noobs" helping each other out, instead of setting up future scams with fake references, as, unfortunately, we have seen in the past.

However, in general, always take full precautions as per the OP advice, particularly with apparent noobs, and even if they have so-called references.

edit: diomed sent the $300 back to me on ft as well as $55 on stars for the trouble. he found someone to escrow and i'm not quite sure what happened but that went bad, but diomed did transfer the money + some back.
