will someone explain to me the point of grading drafts?

[/ QUOTE ]

To determine who got the most (or least) out of its picks in the NFL draft.

I thought the reasoning would be self-explanatory.

The fact that the Colts picked an offensive player with their first two picks surprises me. They have the worst run defense in the NFL and didn't get to fixing it until the third round.

They will hopefully have Simon and Sanders back for the whole year. They definitely need to draft LBers in the next couple of rounds and CBs.

Big surprise. Oakland takes Johnny Lee Higgins, "possibly the fastest player in the collegiate ranks", according to nfl.com.

Al Davis: I don't need scouts! I just need to see his 40.

Yamon Figurs ran the fastest 40 at the combine (4.28 seconds). On a bad ankle, Ginn ran a 4.35. I think Ginn could get around 4.28 or 4.3 if he was 100%.

Higgins claimed he could run a 4.2, which would break Deion Sanders's record of 4.21. But he ran a 4.52.

Just wondering if anyone has been listening to the draft via Sirius Radio/NFL Radio. I have an hour and half drive back to school from home and just wondering how their broadcast of the draft has been.
