Default Limit Tourney FT HU 13 bets on flop?

One of those $6 with 1k added limit tournaments.

I just got heads up against my arch-rival in this tournament that has been at my last 4 or so tables. He is SUPER laggy and quite poor postflop. The only reason he made it to the final two is that people don't figure it out and STILL fold to him at every spot imaginable.

The this is the very first hand of HU play.

Hand from memory.

I've got about 14 Big Bets and he has about 7.

Hero has 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain completes, Hero checks.

Flop: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets, Villain raises, Hero 3-bets, Villain 4-bets, Hero 5-bets, [more betting]..., Villain is all-in for 13-bets

At the time I justified it as having a great equity edge, but is there a time that you think you're that much better than your opponent that you won't take a 60/40 or whatever this is?

PS
I lost this hand to K7o and won the tournament two hands later when I doubled up the first hand with bottom two vs top pair and finished him off with KK 12 bets preflop against AJs.

What site allows u to go so many bets in a limit tourney?

Oh and I think going that many bets with 8-high is a big mistake. surely you should stop after 4-5?

Limit is so weird. This can't possibly be right.

Party allows unlimited heads up.

And I'm not exactly betting with 8 high, I'm a 63% favorite to win the hand (but usually would be about 55% against anyone who isn't a complete moron). Just wondering if any of you NL folks would call an all in here (essentially doing the same thing here).

Actually, against a set, which is the most likely hand a sane opponent has, you are a dog, about 43% to win. I think i would 3 bet and only call the 4th, since most people will have a minimum of 2 pair, or the more likely set.

I don't understand the continued raising. Just call after the 4-bet. You are still drawing, granted you have a great draw, but it's still 8 high and limit allows you to chase for cheap, I prefer a call after the 4 bet and re-evaluate on the turn.
