I saw a 42" plasma 720p at Kmart yesterday for 699, not even a BF dea;/ It's that price now. Oh it was a Zenith so I give it an A for price but B- for probable quality.

I just bought a Dell laptop for $440. Specs:

AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 Dual-Core processor TK-53 (1.7GHz/512KB)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Anti-Glare Display
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 Dimm
120GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
8X DVD+/-RW w/Double-layer DVD+R Write Capability, for Vista® OS
ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB HyperMemory™ (integrated)
Dell Wireless 1390 802.11g Wi-Fi Mini Card

I have no plans to keep it. Just buying it to sell it.

I have a reasonable idea but I'm not 100 percent sure to be honest. I actually don't have a laptop and have been thinking about buying one, but I'm not sure I really need one... so maybe once I get it I'll decide to keep it.

Probably a couple hundred dollars, at least 150. I figure it's not a bad profit for really not doing much of any work.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think this is an amazing deal:

42" TV, 1080p for $996.99 from Best Buy
TV

Anyone know the catch here? It's like $1000 off the list price...

Best Buy has a nice Sony Laptop with 1GB of memory for like 300.

Does anyone know, can i go buy this now, and go to the store in a week or two show them the ad and get them to price match it?

I'm like 99% sure that it doesn't work with one day sales like this, especially since it if did work a million people would do this.

Unless you are the first person to think of this loophole, then god bless and good luck.

If it is a doorbuster item then no price match. If it is a 2 day sale item, you might get the manager to price match if you go in late on Friday or Sat (not during the door buster sales time). I would go in on Tuesday, talk to the manager and see what they say.

The contrast isn't that great. The Sharp 46D64 is on sale at CC for $1300 on BF. That's a better set, and it has a 20% bigger screen.
