is there a database management feature? like in PT i can create multiple dbs. can i do that in HEM?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not at the moment although there is also much less of a need to create multiple databases in Holdem Manager since the database will easily support many, many millions of hands when it is properly indexed /vacuumed.

However, this request has come up a lot so it is pretty likely I'll add it post launch.

rvg,

What average hands/s do you get? My old computer imports at 16hands/s but my new dual core imports at only 0.3hand/s. I have 2gb of memory and other top of the line hardwares. Do you think it's because I left the computer on for too long [cpu heating problem]? FWIW, I turned it off for a few hours and it's still slow. I also had to create an alias for the second computer [which is win xp pro service pack 2]. The first computer probably uses the same OS.

My HHs are 6max cash games from Stars.

Also, why are there so many instances of postgresql whenever HEM is run?

Hi Slow Habit,

I'm pretty sure every hand is causing errors when inserting into the database on your second machine. On a decent computer you should be getting around 40h/s for 6 max cash... I'm working on an update now that should get closer to a complete solution for these problems some people are having.

Postgresql spawns processes whenver it needs to and since HEM is multi threaded there might be a couple of extra processes. So, nothing to worry about.

Thanks,

rvg

Gimme, gimme, gimme iPoker!

[/ QUOTE ]

iPoker is almost done. Another hour or so later tonight and then testing - might be able to get it out before calling it a night.

I don't have that many hands / tourneys for ipoker so any ipoker players who want to help make sure the importer is working close to perfect when I release 0.18b please zip them up and send to tourneymgr@gmail.com

Thanks,

rvg

After downloading the latest patch, I got this error when I tried to start HM:

See the end of this message for details on invoking

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi,

Make sure you unzip the 2 files in the zip over top of the same two files in your existing program files\rvg software\holdem manager folder.

The problem you are seeing happens if you run the patched exe in the zip in a different directory.

Thanks,

Roy
