Default NCAA Basketball: Predictions on a star studded freshman class

With the NBA's new rules freshman classes are stronger than ever, kids like Eric Gordon, Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, and OJ Mayo look to make a huge impact on their teams immediately. Who do you think will be dominant? Who do you think will be a let down? Who do you think will be great in the pros?

What do people think of Syracuse's two 5 star recruits in Jonny Flynn and Donte Green? Are they for real? Will they be sick right away or will the need some time to develop like Paul Harris did last year?

I'm really excited about Cuse's freshman class this year. I'm hoping Flynn can step in right away and handle the PG spot because Devendorf is not a PG at all. Green is going to take some time I think. The only reason Harris didn't develop properly was because of inconsistent playing time. When given sufficient time on the floor he was able to dominate at times even without any semblance of a jump shot.

As far as other freshman I absolutely love Eric Gordon..think he's going to be amazing at IU. I think Beasley will be above average as will Rose. I have 0 expectations for Kevin Love other than I hear he throws a mean outlet pass.

Don't think anyone of them will be close to Durant, and look where that got Texas. Alright to be fair, they would've been really bad without Durant last year.

keep your eye on two kids out of Oregon:

Kyle Singler at Duke F 6-8 220 selected ACC preseason rookie of the year (yeah, like that means much)

Kevin Love at UCLA C 6-10 250 (although i read a local article yesterday that said he is at about 270 right now with 10% body fat). National POTY.

No, the Oregon Ducks can't keep their in-state players.

I think Derrick Rose will be awesome in both college and the pros. I think Michael Beasley will be a letdown.

OJ Mayo will set USC basketball back as far as he was expected to advance it.

Gani Lawal will break every record known to man.

lol ridiculous. i doubt he even stays past a year, and to think that in one year he is going to take a program that has one senior on the roster any lower than what is expected is pretty lame. the top of pac 10 is super tough this year. if usc can finish up fourth in the conference, make a good run in the pac 10 tournament, and land a spot in the big dance i think it will be regarded as a good year.
