NL500: ATo 3bet pot on J99AT
NL500. 4-handed.
Hero is BTN with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB has $488, Hero covers. SB is 36/12/2.23(412), has done some retarded floating previously. Not a good player. CO folds, Hero raises to $17.50, SB raises to $40, Hero calls, BB folds. Flop 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($85) SB checks, Hero bets $60, SB calls. Turn A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($205) SB checks, Hero checks. River T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($205) SB bets $80, Hero shoves? ($308 for villain to call) |

Re: NL500: ATo 3bet pot on J99AT
Well the floating he did was not in 3bet pots, so I'm not certain he could have AK/AQ here. River looks like a blocking bet though - could he have retardedly slowplayed KK/QQ?
I really am not sure what I put him on that calls me, I was more like "ok good players value bet thin this is a good spot let's go"... I mean I'm gladly surprised you all like it, but what you put him on? |

Re: NL500: ATo 3bet pot on J99AT
ATo is a little thin for me to be calling a 3 bet, you are behind to most of his range (you say he is 12% pfr), but seeing as you did..
on river: i dont mind this. you'll get busted every now and again but the strength of your hand is pretty hidden. I like the turn check as it induces a bluff The only thing i dont like about this hand (from your perspective) is the line he takes. He checks two streets and then bets the river. This is nearly always strength to me. Hope you ran into AK/AQ and got called. |
