Re: 88 on 732 monochrome flop BvB and opponent overbet pushes
At a min he has Asx and if we optomistically say x is like 6 then were dodging 12 outs. Taking into account the times he has KJ with a spade or a spastic 2 pair, I fold this pretty easily and don't mind it at all.
Really wonder what other people have to say about this one. And how big a difference is 8s8x |

Re: 88 on 732 monochrome flop BvB and opponent overbet pushes
While it would be nice to have a spade as part of our pocket eights I'm not sure if it makes a huge deal here.
it's a low flopped flush or a set a good portion of the time coupled with AsX that paired however its also 44-66 with a spade that doesn't want to see paint come off on the turn. It's close but I'd lean towards a fold because we are drawing dead to a good portion of his range and flipping with the other half. |

Called and was 49% to win, which was better than pot odds.

Edit: nothing wrong with calling. It's different playing style. I may save my stack here for better spots in other post flop plays. |

I may save my stack here for better spots in other post flop plays. [/ QUOTE ] I think here you're almost always going to see either 1)the As 2)one pair so you're occasionally flipping (if he has another over), occasionally 60/40, and occasionally like 3:1 or something. So I call. In a bigger buyin tournament that's slower and deeper, you might find better spots for your stack. In one of these, though, this is good enough. |
