Sarcasm and smack talk
Making a long story short... I'm always on the lookout to improve myself. One way to do this is to watch, learn from, associate with the best. Sarcasm and smack talk are two forms of humor that can certainly come in handy in certain situations. So I ask the all wise members of the Diablo forum: What videos, books, websites, etc are the best sources for grade "A" sarcastic humor and smack talk? Basically I want to learn from example without moving to the hood. A quick search on amazon reveals this:

Re: Sarcasm and smack talk
There is a very thin line here.
Sarcastic people who are funny = AWESOME Sarcastic people who aren't funny = very annoying. |

Re: Sarcasm and smack talk
i think smack talk is basically used to show off when you get your 3 pointer to go in, catch a td, or beat your friend in madden etc.
i recommend some sort of response to a previous statement with an added exaggeration stated. For instance: Person A: You are slow. Person B: (after scoring a td) I am too hot to handle. Idiot friend C: Thats what she said!!!!! followed my high fives. Me: (in my head) who the hell makes a thread about learning how to smack talk? |

Can you actually learn this sort of thing? [/ QUOTE ] I watched an interview where Mike Myers claimed he got his sense of humor from watching tons and tons of old school SNL. Learning from example probably won't make you a legend but it really can't be that difficult to modify and rehash stuff you've seen before to fit a situation you are in. It's like the saying goes "There's nothing new under the sun". |
