How about your computer? Did you have to pay duty on that when you brought it in?

No, but I declared all of my electronics with US customs before I left in case they gave me any hassle, they are certainly free to screw with you if they want. Make sure it isn't in the original box and looks used and not like you are going to sell it once you get it.

TheMetetron,

I'm coming down there in a few months, and I need to set up some sort of foreign bank account to work with Party Poker. Any advice against using an Argentinian bank?

Don't use an Argentine bank.

A) Because you can't.

B) Because it's not safe.

Well considering that Swiss banks are no good for Americans with less than a couple million lying around, any advice?

Unfortunately no. I have friends who are having the same problems.

I have found a Swiss bank that will let me open an account for $50k but the fees seem annoying.

I'm looking into Singapore banks.

FWIW, my bank will no longer allow people playing poker for a living to sign up with them. Many banks are also like this or won't take US citizens at all due to it being too much paperwork for them. It's getting a lot harder.

Also, Party won't cashout to an account other than one located in the country you reside.

So then I guess reopening a Neteller account is my best bet?

Assuming I can get money on, can I get paper checks from Party?

Yeah I believe so. A pain to ship those back to the states though or wherever your bank is.
