Default Iron Man Medals

I currently have opted out of the Iron Man promotion. I checked my point status though, out of boredom, and saw I was making >50 points most days. Am I really missing out on something here?

I do have RB, and I believe FT will deduct any type of promotion I am involved with. I see you can buy cash bonuses, 26 and 75 tokens, and other cool things. (Even tickets to the 530 and 216 Sunday tournies). So anyone who actively participates with the Iron Man promotion, particularly if you have rb, let me know how you like it and etc etc.

Thanks!

Why would you opt out? You might as well be in. Of course, by opting out you are saving yourself the aggravation of having to deal with the pitiful Full Tilt support in fruitless attempts to get them to use the $200+16 entry you bought with Iron Man medals to enter you in the Sunday 500k guaranteed. So maybe it's worth opting out.

from what i've read in past threads on this, it seems that the freerolls only offer good value for gold+ as there aren't that many people and many do not show...

however, u also have to consider ur skills as a tourney player and weight that against the MGR deduction for entering the tourney...

imo, i think ur better off taking the bonus medals and saving up, unless maybe until u start qualifying for gold+

just throwing my opinion out there...

So there is no penalty for getting in? If I use the bonus medals for 500k entries of cash medals, I will not take a hit as far as RB?

If you take the cash bonus, it's just like a normal FT bonus. You clear it $20 at a time and it takes away from your rakeback. For the tourney entry, you supposedly are not penalized as long as there is not overlay. Of course, I wouldn't know personally since Full Tilt support is so horrible that I can't get them to respond in time to enter me in one.

Okay. Well (bonus + (rb - bonus penalty)) is still greater than rb by itself. I think i should sign up for it.

Thanks for the info.

If you sign up for bonus medals, some things to consider:

If you purchase tokens they are not deducted from MGR.

If you purchase FT points they are not deducted from MGR until you cash them in.

Best values: $600 bonus = .20/medal, $216 entry = .196/medal, $535 entry = .194/medal, 25k FT points = .192/medal.

you'd be dumb to opt-out. even if you are eventually hit with an MGR deduction for converting medals to cash or points (when points are redeemed for goods), the value of what you are getting exceeds the deduction
