Default Across country account set up questions?

I saw a similiar post already but it didn't answer some of the questions I had. I live reasonably close to Canada and have several questions regarding setting up an account there. This would be primarily for ease of deposit and withdrawl through neteller. My assumption is that I would have to change my Neteller and gaming sites (PS,FT,UB, & Absolute) account addresses to an address in Canada for them to allow transfers.
1. Do Canadian banks allow US residents to open bank accounts or would I have to give them a Canadian address as well?
2. Do most Canadian cities have businesses like 'Mailboxes etc.' where I can set up a PO box and have any mail forwarded to my home address?

Since all of the transactions would still go through Neteller, there should be no reason for providing a utility bill since none was necessary before at any of my accounts. (Not a casino whore)

In a previous similar post someone stated that they thought they could then return to Party Poker also and several responses indicated that the player could only play if they were in Canada due to the IP address.
3. I play using a laptop with a cellular PC card, would I only be able to play while physically being in Canada also if my account address was changed to a Canada address also?

I made a call to a UPS store in Windsor, ON and they said it would not be a problem for me to get a mailbox there.

This is the question I would like to see answered. Coming up with a Canadian address would not be a problem but what does it take for a US citizen to get a Canadian bank account?

A co-worker of mine has a fiance from Vancouver so I am working on that question. Will post it when I find out.

Its not a problem at all. But you do need a Canadian address.
Just set one up with a UPS store.

A better question is whether you can link a second Neteller account to your existing poker accounts.

Or if you can register for, say, a Party account in canada with your Canadian address, then play on it from your home in the US...

anyone ??

Living a few blocks from the border, my take is to update my neteller account with the new UPS store address. You should be able to play on "USA" sites (Stars, Tilt, etc.) while in the US with your new Canadian address. Don't bother adding a Canadian bank account.

Because of IP tracking, you will probably have to physically be in Canada while online to access Party, Cryptos or the neteller web site. Remember, you don't have to log into neteller to transfer funds between sites.

I can see spending an occasional weekend in Niagara Falls to transact online while playing live.

If you want to cash out you'll have two options - request a paper check to your UPS box or use your neteller card to withdraw cash. If you card is already loaded, you should be able to withdraw from any USA ATM on the network.

Wouldn't you need Canadian ID? Or could you just say that you are visiting and use American ID?

To set up a UPS box, you don't need residency or a Canadian ID. You will have to show photo ID when signing up. You also have to pay one year upfront.

To open a Canadian bank account you need an SIN (the equivalent of a USA SSN). If you have established residency, you can get this number at a local gov't office.

That's why I suggest just setting up the box and using neteller for site to site transfers.

Big problem. When you change your country in Neteller they won't let you use a USA account to fund it or withdraw. You have to use a Canadian account. Also, they didn't use to do this but I believe they require utility bills or something similar to that to change your address.

I've heard of one particular Canadian bank who's focus is bridging the US/Canadian gap, and supposedly they allow US citizens to open accounts.

If that doesn't work, is there a Canadian equivalent of an EIN in the US (basically a SSN for businesses)? Could a US citizen open a Canadian business and a business bank account?

Which is exactly why I earlier suggested cashing out paper checks or neteller card. Just use neteller to move money between sites.

Neteller has never asked me for a utility bill, but how hard would it be to change the address on your Sears card or cell phone bill?
