I would probably fold here as well. He can have alot of stronger 8s, he can be donking with any ten, or something like 9J which has a 94% chance of getting there on the river :P

I think with 11 bb you can wait here

i fold as well. board is pretty dry, so unless he has 97 or J7 i think you are way behind.

You guys are nits. We're itm with the small stack, which is about as close as you can get to playing with house money in SNG. The difference between 3rd and 2nd is minimal. Call and laugh at the foolio for trapping with his big ace. If he has a monster or TP, make a note.
