Default Poker Rooms In Albuquerque

Booking my trip to Albuquerque in February for USBC Bowling Nationals. Just needed some info on the card rooms down there? Doesn't sound like theres a ton to do down there so I figure I'll be spending most spare time playing cards. Anyways, I appreaciate any advice of which casinos have the better games spreading. Also anything else fun to do in Albuquerque?? Next year nationals are in Vegas so definitely looking forward to that.

There's a "big" (for NM standars I would guess) casino just west of the city on I-40. It's called the route 66 casino or something. I went in there once and the poker room looked pretty sad. Nice room, but sad. I'm not even sure they had any NL goin' (this was about 18 months ago). I've heard there was some 2/5 NL goin' somewhere near the city not on I-40 (I only drive through and I'm only on I-40 so that's the extent of my knowledge. . .sorry).

There's a nice casino called the Sandia on Tramway at the north end of the city. Small but pleasant poker room spreading a variety of games. A mix of obvious regulars and tourists. The 1/2 NL game was not particular soft, particularly late on a week night, when I was playing, when I think it was populated by mostly regulars... who all knew each other's names.

The food is not very good.

Yeah, Sandia is the poker friendly casino there. As far as other activities in Feb, best bet is skiing. Either on Sandia peak (nice slopes fun resort) or Taos (more tourists nice ski bunnies). Other than that, it's not a very exciting town in Feb.

There is some nice female scenery at Taos, but overall, please dont go to Albuquerque looking for hot women, you will be severely disapointed.

Sandia is the place to go in ABQ for poker. Its the biggest room we have. 1/2NL is pretty soft, the 4/8 is even softer.

We have very hot women here, hope you like latinas

I've enjoyed my trips to Sandia when in Alb. Very nice room, great action.. They have a 20/40 limit game on weekends filled will tattoos who look like they've never read a book, much less a poker book. Juicy juicy..

Have fun.. BB
