The more important question is obvious. Does anyone here doubt that whatever happens, the LA Times will have carefully calculated it to maximize the negative impact on republicans or minimize the impact on democrats?

My only consolation is that their circulation is in freefall.

LOL, have you ever heard of $$$$? Like any paper would ever DARE risk being scooped on something like this. You guys with your persecution complexes are just adorable.

Exactly, I mean from guys who believe in market incentives, pretending that political slants would trump the prestige, sales, and recognition that breaking a major story like this would herald is just weird. Moreover, I think the Clintons are savvy enough not to risk their dynastic ambitions (AGAIN?!) on sex. Remember, whatever you might think of his policies, Bill was a [censored] Rhodes Scholar...

Newsweek sat on the Clinton/Lewinsky story and got scooped by Drudge. They must have really hated money?

That does it, she gets my vote for sure. Especially is she takes Ellen Degeneres as her running mate.

Well, although I have no more sympathy for the Dems than I do for the Repubs, I am REALLY hoping that (assuming this actually IS some real story and not like the stupid [censored] Segway that I got my hopes up for, bastards) this is some Republican scandal. Only because posting in this thread afterwards is going to be priceless.

Instead of political gamesmanship the reporters might be trying to figure out if its, you know, TRUE. Clearly the Times can't print just rumors about this type of stuff for obvious reasons.
