I'd raise here. No possible draws out there and this would be an odd way for him to play a set or 9. He can't even have a 2 pair that would beat you. Most likely he spiked a K on the river and you're still ahead.

Yeah, a raise is pretty needed. Odds are, the BB doesn't have a 9 since he didn't show any flop or turn aggression. The most likely scenario is that he caught his king on the river.

Just kidding. One may think he would CR trips on the turn, but I have seen this line also. He could have a hand like KQ, K6, or a missed str8 draw. Against his entire range (Pairs, trips and FH) I feel confident that there is value in a raise, so raise/call would be my line.

One thing over the past month or so I realized is that I need to work on my river aggression. I think I'm pretty decent on the flop and turn, but turn weak on the river. Looking at it now this is an easy raise. In the actual hand I did raise, he reraised and showed me pocket 4s for a flopped set. Thanks for responding everyone.

yup i think the villain played it great,he donk river and didn t show agression b4 since he tough the board didn t hit u(no high cards) and K was likely to helped u and he needed to bet anyway for value

but anyway a raise here in the long run is correct.lot player will call the raise on river with AK,KQ,KJ,etc..
