Default Pokersites integrity

Would you trust this guy?

Once upon a time there was a man called Jack.
Jack lived on a tiny island miles from anywhere.
He had a computer game that he designed and produced that could be played over the internet. Anybody could play as long as they paid enough money.

Jack said that anyone with a little knowledge and skill could turn their initial investment into alot more.
Now there was no proof that Jack was telling the truth or anyone watching over him checking he was honest, the players just had to have a little blind faith.

Jack was not under any jurisdiction and couldn't be sued by any players who lost.

Jack then decided to try and give some credibility to his game so he paid Jill to say he was running a fair game, but of course because he paid her, she was never gonna say anything contradictory.

Jack then paid professional players to say they played his game and how good it was, but they only ever played with the money given to them by Jack and of course like Jill never said anything bad about the game or Jack.

If and when a player won some money, Jack would try and delay payment and investigate any ways of not paying but this didn't happen very much.

You see Jack could tweak the game any way he liked because he developed it in house, this way he would make new players win a little to start with, to get them hooked and thinking they were better than they were. But then over time Jack would tweak it again so eventually the player would lose all their investment, and have to redeposit to keep playing.

Jack even paid people to write about how well they were doing with his game and how much money they were making, but of course these were all lies too. The only winner here is Jack and his friends and the only losers were the players.

Would you trust Jack and want to play his game?

NO I thought not, now reread the story but this time replace the word Jack with Party Poker, Pokerstars, Full tilt or any other favourite poker site, and ask yourself the same question would you trust them?

Until I saw this post, I doubted whether people as stupid as Jack existed.
