Beat: I cheated at champ man in my 11th season to get promotion

I started as manager of Forest Green in the Conference.

Season 1: Promotion to League 2
Season 2: Mid table in League 2
Season 3: Promotion to League 1
Season 4: Promotion to Championship
Season 5: 17th
Season 6: 17th again
Season 7: 7th (just missed out on playoffs on last day of season, was top 6 almost all season)
Season 8: 3rd (was 9 points clear in 2nd with 10 games to go, miss out on last day of season)
Season 9: 9th (was top 6 for first half of season before collapse)
Season 10: 7th (missed out on playoffs on last day of season despite being top 6 for most of it and top 2 for first half of season)
Season 11: Top 2 for first half of season then slowly trickle down. with 4 games left we are in 7th but just get into playoffs.

THEN: first leg vs west ham. we lose 3-0 at home. i am devasted. i start second leg going mega aggressive and we go 2-0 down. i had saved after securing playoffs and quit the game and redid the playoffs and this time beat west ham and won the final.

beat: after spending about 150 hours playing this game, i had to resort to cheating.

I felt this whole series took a major beat when they brought out CM4 and later. I still play CM00/01 haha. Great game tho

Never played as Forest Green tho, Any good? I used to like going rushden and diamonds in the version they were in the conference. Plenty of money, a half decent team to start and loads of potential.

Next time, just use an ingame editor to make a player have perfcet stats before the game, then change him back afterwards.

im playing the champ man when champ man become football manager. i think it's the 04/05 or 05/06.

yeah the old school CMs were the best, the new ones are so much slower. i've got a decent laptop and still it takes ages.

forest green are good fun, started with them as they had Alex Meecham who had awesome stats as a striker.

yeah I have just got used to the new ones. You need a powerful PC to get the best out of it though
