Chip leader agreeing to even chop is craziest thing ever, did someone turn down a chip count chop?

[/ QUOTE ]One guy said chip chop before support showed but I said no.
Support showed up and I said right away even with some left over to play for. One donk who was trying to get the cl to take $5k extra said it again so I said PLAY for $5k...
I was going to say play for $1k, but I didn't want CL to realize he was getting shafted. I'm ok with how it turned out

BrandiFan, why did you call that allin with 33? (I mean your last hand)
I don't see any logic, but I'm not mtt experienced player. Anyway, would like to hear about your looking to this hand.

[/ QUOTE ]Since we had agreed to a chop with money left over for first place there was no $ value in moving up a position or 2. I was the short stack with about 11 BBs and (expecially since we had just finished a chop) the 2nd short stack could have been raising with a very wide range of hands. Had there not been a chop I think it's a close call and I'd probably have folded since he had been pretty tight up to that point. As it is now winner take all I think I need to take this gamble and hope it's a flip. If I fold there I am going to be shoving with a very wide range of hands trying to give myself a chance to win and I'll almost certainly have to win a few races (or worse matchups)even in the best case scenarios.
Frequently people will just blindly shove in after completing a deal even when there's money left on the table, so there was a chance his range was any 2.
I can post HH if anyone cares.
