Re: Bet turn? How much? ($1/2 deep)
[ QUOTE ]
Results: I bet $85, he calls. Turn is yahtzee 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], he checks and calls my all-in with AH KD 3H 6D. [/ QUOTE ] yep NH - the turn bet is kind of a double-edged sword - a smaller bet prices in the flush draws, but the less you bet the less you represent a nut straight, (bare nut straight surely bets the pot or close to it??) and the more he might look you up light |

Re: Bet turn? How much? ($1/2 deep)
[ QUOTE ]
If I bet too much, do I not risk folding out hands that could pay me off if I hit the river? I'd be representing a straight, so I think he'll fold KK + 2nfd if I bet close to full pot, whereas if I keep him in with that hand I can bet him off the best hand when I miss and get paid off when I hit. [/ QUOTE ] no i think it's better to make him fold now. |

just hit the river, then you don't have to bluff. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] River is yahtzee 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] , he checks and calls my all-in with AH KD 3H 6D. [/ QUOTE ] I give such good advice. |

Re: Bet turn? How much? ($1/2 deep)
1. No, not at all. With tptk, gutshot and 2nfd, you can't really call, you can either pass or raise again, but passing is usually best here. The issue is that my range is very wide here, and not very much of it includes the nut flush draw.
2. Shoveski. I pretty much 'know' what he's got, that he has me beat, and can't call. |
