Full Tilt Poker, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

UTG: $35.40
BTN: $10.30
Hero (SB): $29
BB: $24.25

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG calls $0.25, BTN raises to $1, Hero raises to $4, 2 folds, BTN calls $3

Flop: ($8.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $25 and is All-In

this player was awful. but i still would probably be happy if he folded here preflop. he's going to be calling a lot though. then i'm going to be missing the flop a lot and i'm going to get called 100% of the time when i'm beat (any pair, or even AK is always calling). i'll get called a lot when i make the best hand too, but still, does that work out to be profitable for me?

should i just call preflop and wait until i make a hand to be aggressive?

I don't like calling because your relative position is poor on the flop since UTG will probably call BTN's raise if you call. And since you're probably ahead of BTN's range and being OOP sucks you can't call imo. No, I wouldn't call pre-flop.

That said, is folding that terrible pre? What's the value of playing this hand? And what if you just shove pre?

after preflop raise you are pot commited so i think it is fine. I like shoving more than check/call.

In general speaking of preflop if he is awful it looks ok for you. You are way ahead of his range and also of his calling range so it can't be bad.

Depending on the villian a 3 bet here is standard versus a 20/18 30/15 etc.
As played just Cbet that flop $6
Don't understand why you pushed that flop?

shoving pre is not an option with BB and UTG behind him. I don't hate the push, I don't hate c/f either. Not sure which one has more EV here
