1)check behind or valuebet?

2)check behind or valuebet vs villain: 20/13/3.5/23

I think its a leak of me, so I just wanna improve my play.

I often check behind there. is too weak? Im worried about slowplayed better hands

I think checking behind here is fine. Villian either holds a 5 or a Q, or less likely a PP like 88+ since he might re-pop you here (depending on your ASB since MP = CO 5-handed right?). If he's holding a Q, the only Q you're beating now that he reasonably holds is QJ. QT is one less hand you can value bet against now. PP's ('cept for TT of course) will now fold to a 3rd barrel. 5's will raise you. Basically he needs to be holding specifically QJ for us to make money here. Checking I think is the right play then.

Um, what hand besides QJ are we hoping to extract from after betting 3 streets?

Edit: Agh, didn't look at his stats. 44/0/0.0 seems pretty bad lol.

Especially if you're going to make such itty-bitty bets on the flop/turn.

I bet in both cases. 1) because we got close to nuts against his range, 2) only two hands that beat us make sense for this villain.

I bet more on the flop, too.

Bet a bit more on the flop and turn. As played bet 25-30.

Villian either holds a 5 or a Q

[/ QUOTE ]

why would he have a 5?

assuming he has a five, why would he call the turn?
