Very close at 900m though, and pretty sick for a car that isn't purpose built for drag racing.

I watched this when the show was broadcast Sunday.

It was obvious the Eurofighter would win, but still a fun little piece.

I remember when 5th Gear did the piece on the F1 v Eurofighter drag. IIRC Ferrari did a really similar thing a while back against another jet fighter with similar results.

Fwiw, a purpose made drag car would destroy the Eurofighter in a straight line drag race and an F1 car would destroy the Eurofighter in a race like on Top Gear in the OP. But like i say, fun stuff for a car lover like me.
