Re: Full Tilt Account hacked for $40,000
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry, I don't feel like digging up the link, but just a week or two ago, Raymer's Stars account was hacked. [/ QUOTE ] In hindsight, Raymer said his password was easy to guess. OP, how hard would it be to guess your FTP password? |

Re: Full Tilt Account hacked for $40,000
To OP,
Sorry to hear about the bad beat. Is it unreasonable to expect the sites to allow customers the option to limit access to a single IP address? I realize many people play from different IP's, but if you had this as an option, wouldn't this prevent the hackers? I thought some sites already blocked access from different IP addresses, but I could be wrong. Al |

Re: Full Tilt Account hacked for $40,000
I understand this is completly usless now, but I made a decision when I first started winning sugnifuicant $$$ online that I never keep for than 5k on my actual account. I understand for a 25/50 player that this is probably not realistic, but is it possible to move funds in and out, of whatever company you use to do so, whenever you plan on sitting down?
I know it is a pain but I assume that 3rd party sites such as neteller (just an example) are insured agaist this type of problem...gl with whatever happens -L |

It is quite a pain to transfer back and forth every day, as with some sites there are delays, but perhaps I shoudl do this if I can find some 3rd party site that guarantees their funds. Does anyone know of any? thanks for all the posts eveeryone. |

Re: Full Tilt Account hacked for $40,000
Are you a member of Cardrunners or Pokerbay? Any place that may use the same password as your FT account and have access to information needed to get into it...maybe an exploit there?

Re: Full Tilt Account hacked for $40,000
why not just leave yourself logged on 24 hours a day. Even when you are not playing just leave yourself logged in

Re: Full Tilt Account hacked for $40,000
I didn't see this question in the thread. Do you run any
kind of wireless connection in your house? I read a story the other day, that said that most people who have a wireless system are almost completle unprotected. You also might what to run "Highjack This" and then post the results to one of the tech boards on the net. The experts may be able to find any nasty's you might have picked up. |
