Re: unraised pot turn 2 pr and villain wakes up...
Looks fine. More aggression might be warranted on turn or river, but it might not...

Re: unraised pot turn 2 pr and villain wakes up...
what im considering is whether i am ahead often enough to make this call on the river.
when i was sitting there thinking about it, i thought villains most likely holding was 36... but then i also thought that he would play a hand like 57 or 47 identically. anybody think this is a bad assumption? i suppose 77 is in his range also ... |

id maybe like an opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about [/ QUOTE ] Ouch. Dude, think about it. If you fold two pair every time some guy shows aggression, you won't be making much. This is a very strong hand given this board. Look him up. If he beats you, fine. Find out what he beat you with and how he played it. Make a note and move on. |

Re: unraised pot turn 2 pr and villain wakes up...
are you disputing that the 7 didnt help him? ... if thats your claim, he has to have complete air or he slowplayed a big one on the flop. considering the flush and straight draw out there, i think its extremely doubtful he slowplayed a set.
therefore, if the 7 helped him, what hand could he have? ... 47, 57, 36, 68, 77 ...im beating only two of those, and i think its even less likely he plays the 2 pr hands as fast as he did. |

Re: unraised pot turn 2 pr and villain wakes up...
What about AA, KK that missed a LRR. Or bluffs from all the draws that missed? Or Q4, or Q5, of J4 or J5 that tried to get smart and semi-bluff raise you on the turn?
I wouldn't overthink this. If you really think this is a bad call, then fine: don't call. I think that would be a big mistake though. |
