How aggressive is this br "strategy"?

[/ QUOTE ]

I explained it in more detail in this post http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...ue#Post12285560 . Basically once you have 10 buy in's for your current level + 1 for next level up, you move up.

So once you get to $10*50 + 100=$600 you start playing NL100. And for every buy-in I make on top of that I add another table to the screen.

20 buy in rule for micros is pretty stupid IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm no mathematician, but this seems the same as saying "play a level once you have 6 buy-ins for it", e.g.:

10 x $100 buyins for $0.50/$1 + a $200 buyin for the next level = $1200 for $1/$2
10 x $200 buyins for $1/$2 + a $400 buyin for the next level = $2400 for $2/4

[/ QUOTE ]

umm....
2*10 + 5 = 25 = 5 * 5
10*10 + 25 = 125 = 25 * 5
Please keep being a smart ass.

Obv jims method only works when the buyins double. Also, since when was 5 the level above 10?

Either way, it's close enough to 6, which is pretty horrifically underolled. It doesn't matter at like 2NL where you can reload with ease but at 200NL???

Countdown to busto...

What happens when you lose a buy-in? And I know it's basically unheard of in poker, but what happens when you lose two or more buy-ins?

I drop back down if I lose one buy-in. And then rebuild and try again. Sometimes takes a few go before I actually stay at that limit. If you are strict and actually go back when you are supposed to, then there's no way to go busto.

Dude...this is a temporary upswing- this is not a bankroll strategy, this is taking dumb [censored] and gamboooling and trying to keep runnin good. Once the cards turn a bit cold u'll go busto. I would rele advise against this- wowowoowowoww u make $1k ZOMG 1K IS AMAZING. No, $1k is temporarily running well. Show me a 50k hand graph and u getting ur roll up to $15k using this strategy and I'll think something of it.
