Re: WCOOP main event sensation - winner under investigation
Mark is a bit of an egomaniac. The Play2Kill account is his, but is played almost exclusively by Mikael Thuritz. Mark likes to pretend that its him playing the account but its almost always Thuritz playing the account. Thuritz is a very good player extremely talented, I have logged lots of hours with him both live and online and he is very good. Teltscher on the other hand hasn't a clue.

Re: WCOOP main event sensation - winner under investigation
[ QUOTE ]
One thing that might reduce multi-account users is simply to eliminate inter-account transfers. The only way to load an account would be by using a financial institution which is always associated with a name. It wouldn't make it impossible but it would certainly make it more difficult. Down side is that inter-account transfers have some very legitimate usages that would be lost like deals, staking etc'. [/ QUOTE ] I am against removing interaccount transfers. You could combine two ideas in this thread though, and require proof of ID to send or receive a transfer. |

[ QUOTE ] Not to be the person to put a horrible idea into everyones head but consider this. I am a slightly above averagely savvy computer guy. At this moment I can pull up 12 wireless networks around my house. 2 are open, 10 are WEP. I cracked 2 WEP keys in about 30 minutes. So now I have 4 wireless networks I can access. How are you going to catch me cheating ever? [/ QUOTE ] Well, for one thing, poker sites keep track of accounts playing in the same table/tournament more regularly than chance would indicate. If you add to that money transfers between these accounts and you have a pretty strong case. Another suspicious activity would be if several accounts playing in the same tourney were created/financed shortly before the tournament and were financed by a common source. Remember, all a poker site needs in order to suspend your winnings is suspicion, it's up to you to establish your innocence. [/ QUOTE ] a) most high stakes players play against each other a lot. Also, in a tournament situation this would be irrelevant. b) anyone who would transfer money between accounts is retarded and i never said i would do that. |
