Opening a Canadian Bank Account
From a different thread:
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Would it be possible/plausible to open a bank account in say Canada, and just keep using Neteller? Would you need to provide an address outside of the USA? [/ QUOTE ] A lot of people have already done this, supposedly, and I've seen multiple discussions on it. [/ QUOTE ] Does anybody have any info on this? This seems like it would be safer than switching to a shady e-wallet. Would it be illegal? |

Re: Opening a Canadian Bank Account
It wouldn't work because Neteller tracks your IP address. I'm from Canada and one time when I went to Vegas, I accessed my neteller account from my hotel room, and they froze my account for a brief period afterwards because they didn't recognize the 'new IP address'.
So, I don't know, maybe it would work thru a proxy?? |

Re: Opening a Canadian Bank Account
I too am curious as to what is required for a U.S. citizen to open an account, what bank is best, and how transactions would work to pokersites-your U.S. bank accounts, feasability, etc....
And I'm not talking about using Neteller. Just direct transfers from a Canadian bank. And also, only using pokersites that allow U.S. customers (stars, full tilt, mansion) |

Re: Opening a Canadian Bank Account
Another alternative with a Canadian bank account is you get a visa card and then use that for deposits.

This might be more appropriate in the Zoo.
Edit: I just posted this subject in the zoo. |
