did I play this hand bad?
Just wonder if I should have played this hand any differently. Live tourney,I'm SB 10h9c. Blinds 200/400. 2 limpers middle pos,I limp,BB checks, flop Jc 8c 3h. I check,BB bets 1000,limpers fold,I move in for my remaining 4000,he calls.
Will mostly bet my draw here on the flop, this time I did chk planning on moving against a bet.BB fairly tight, felt certain he wouldnt bet a flushdraw here.felt it was 50/50 for him to call or fold, pretty sure he was on a J or 8. I know since it's live, reads and all come in to play, aside from that, how bad(or good) is my play? |

Re: did I play this hand bad?
u get called here 90% of times (other 10% if he was betting 7 high or something you get a fold). that is my READ.

Re: did I play this hand bad?
Yes, you played it bad. Fold pf. You need every 1/2bb that you have to preserve some FE for later hands, especially as blinds go up (plus you will be OOP for the entire hand).

Re: did I play this hand bad?
tx.Vlad, didn't mind the call actually as I was ready to gamble hoping to double up.Rockin, good point, think I might call too often w hands like this, guess that's one of my (many) problems. BTW,I lost the hand,he called w 8/7 off,I turned the straight w the 7,he rivered a full house.

Re: did I play this hand bad?
T9o isn't as good as T9s. You're also out of position on this hand so you're turning a marginal hand into an expensive mistake.
