I have stayed at the MC many times. For the price it is one of the better values on the strip. The location is great for bumping around the strip. However, I generally just use it as a place to sleep because the rooms are nice but not expensive. The casino is average with crappy games. The poker room is also average at best. The food is overpriced and just okay tastewise.

My plan is usually to stay at the MC and play poker at the MGM, Bellagio, Venetian, and Mirage. For other gambling I would stick to the low rent places that offer better conditions, especially craps at the Casino Royale. By the way, any recent crap shooters know if the CR is still offering 100x odds?

Good Luck

Their poker room is an original, in that it is one of the few trhat has been opened since the resort opened, and never closed (even during the late 90s/early 00s poker room shut down trend).

Nice, intimate little room. Very strict cell phone policy. You can gwet microbrewed beers from their in house brewery in the poker room at no additional cost.

They have autoshufflers, and usually run 2/4 and 4/8 with 1/2NL springing up in the late afternoon/evenings.

I was there Super Bowl week and 1/2NL and 2/4limit ran 24/7, if you're looking for higher it is up in the air, 3/6 seemed to run often, dind't notice a 2/5NL. The room is small and friendly. They no longer brew their own beer in the Brew Pub but they do have Fat Tire on tap. Waits were fairly short even during peak hours. They have a high hand jackpot, 4 of a kind or better. Each hand has a different payout depending on when it hit last.

My trip report from last month has some hands and stuff and took place exclusively in the room.

your near MGM which is goot, dump 'em n make money.

the MC construction noise sucks!!!! be prepared not to sleep past 7am (that would be late). Ask for a room closer to NYNY where you can still hear the noise but not as bad....

I've stayed here at least 10x in the past 4 years. I agree with all the previous posters. I like this place a lot.

BUT - the last time I stayed here it was very noisey due to all of the construction, and the parking was all screwed up. My recommendation is to stay away from this place for the next few months (maybe longer).

It doesn't feel like you're playing in a big strip casino when you're playing in that poker room. Very nice smaller room atmosphere.
