200NL - TT in reraised pot against sane vallian.. Semi deep
Vallian is a sane TAG, playing 14/10.5/3.
I played the session looser but still TAG playing 22/14/3 We have been tangling a bit and he has been 3 betting me a few times before this hand came up. The reason I make this move is because he don't bet the flop which indicates he most likely don't have AA,KK and even if he has it he must be having a tough time calling the river on that board. I'd call the turn and maybe call the river. I mean does he really check behind with QQ+ on that board on the flop? FWIW I think his range when he bets the river is high hearts. If the river was an offsuit 7 I'd snapcall. As played flip a coin. I don't see why you're turning your hand into a bluff. I mean you have a good chance at having the best hand given his line. Why c/r the river?

I don't get the raise.
You're much better off just calling. If he doesn't have AA/KK, he probably doesn't have JJ/QQ either. |

I think there is a good chance he has a pocket pair higher than mine and I am basically trying to push him off on that board. I almost know for sure he does not have AA or KK because then he would c-bet the flop but would he fold the river if he had JJ+ ?

Re: 200NL - TT in reraised pot against sane vallian.. Semi deep
If he reads hands well then I don't think he'll fold JJ/QQ very much. I mean every draw got there on the river so why would you go for a c/r? If he has QQ/JJ you should be expecting him to check behind a lot so you'll never be trying a c/r on this board. This might be giving the opponent too much credit but I just think the play looks very fishy.
HOpefully he's bad and just sees a large raise and a scary board and thus folds his TT-QQ, still I don't like it. I'd much prefer a call. |
