not that much game selection at 200/400 and 300/600NL, aba seems to be doing ok in the games, in the grand scheme of things a 6buyin loss isn't that big a deal, hell he might still be up lifetime on Ivey

While I agree with this, if the only option at the moment were to play Ivey I would think it'd be smarter to either

A. not play him

B. Play lower

I'm not doubting that he might be up over Ivey long term, but I can't imagine his edge on him is that big if at all. It would just seem more profitable to practice a little better game selection than this even if it means playing lower sometimes.

Jmill: Likely the edge Aba has over Durr, or Durr over Aba, or Ivey over either, vice versea is incredibly small as well. The fact is, all these people have proven they are great at these high stakes online games and all think they have an edge. Ego probably comes into play big time.

Ivey doesn't likely have that big of an edge over these guys or someone like Antonius either...

For the most part it would be much more profitable for some of these guys to play a bit lower...but doesn't mean they will.

you guys realize that if rugby is a 1ptbb/100 fav over Ivey HU then that translates to like $5000/hr on 2 tables right?

either way, they're at it again, ivey looks to be up ~$130k already at 300/600, and ~$60k at 200/400.

Why would they want to play one table of 300/600 and one of 200/400? I suppose both guys think they have an edge.
