Default 100 NL - Lost on the river...

So I decided to stop being lazy and start posting one hand from every session to improve my game.
Here's first one

No reads/stats on villain. Probably not a good one (playing with 2/3 stack = fish most of the time).

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

CO ($16.05)
Button ($60)
SB ($103.90)
BB ($136.75)
UTG ($105.15)
UTG+1 ($100)
<font color="#C00000">Hero ($119.15)</font>
<font color="#C00000">MP2 ($67)</font>
MP3 ($104.50)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $4</font>, MP2 calls $4, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>.

Flop: ($9.50) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $7</font>, MP2 calls $7.

Turn: ($23.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Standard or should I fire another bullet??

River: ($23.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $12</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $56</font>, Hero???

WTF is that?? Call pre, call flop, check turn, raise river??
Call or am I beaten here too often??

I probably check-call river, to avoid this very situation. As played this is probably a fold. Villain has KQo.

It's a drawy board, but none of the draws came in. I c/c river to give villain a chance to bluff any missed draws or a random weaker K he may have hit. As played you have to fold here I think. I double barrel here sometimes, depends on opponent.

As played I fold river. I had been calling these a lot previously and 80% of the times 1 pair is no good give the aggression on river.

33,44,KQ,QQ and to a lesser extent 88 all make sense.

River bet is fine, just fold to the raise and move on.

I like a c/c here as well to give missed draws a chance to bluff. As played, fold.

c/c &gt; b/f.

c/c gains value from: A5, 56, xh(x+-2)h
b/f gains value from: AQ (prob would've bet the turn), QJ, QT
