Sure, 15-20 tour players fit this category. 15-20 of the best players in the world. And people here keep claiming they average some lofty number. Last I checked, the people here are not the best golfers in the world.

If you walked upto a random tour pro on the range under normal calm conditions and just said to them 'hit the ball 300 yards for me please' I reckon 95% could do it pretty easily right there and then.

Accuracy is so much more important than eeking out an extra 10 yards at tour level for most guys that a driver is hit maybe 85-90% for most, wherease recreational players just tend to love giving it a good smack at 100% (myself definately included), hence why they seem to hit it pretty much as far.

And please lose the ridiculous notion that hitting it 300 yards+ = very good player because thats complete bollocks.

Some people hit it far and some don't. Very very few people can carry the ball 300 yards in neutral conditions, even among tour players. However there are people that can do it, including me.

black knight, you should post a video.

Well, you reckon wrong son. You ever watch the average tour player hit balls? Quite a few players certainly can when necessary, but to state 95% can without batting an eye is ludicrous.

Hitting it 300+ doth not a top player make, but it's not common to find someone who can move it that far that isn't a decent player.

If you're talking carry, no way in hell. If you're talking about with roll on normal dry tour conditions, sure.

black knight,

I try and just be nice to you/ignore you for the most part after your long posts about how great you are at golf in which you screwed yourself with your own words.
I don't believe one word that you type. And no, I'm not going to set up a bet with you on videotape hitting it a certain distance. LOL Nobody serious about that bet would ever suggest doing it that way...just another thing you've written that confirms you're a phony.

Thinly veiled (and not very good) brag post?

Driving contest HU for rollz? I'm sure a number in here would take that bet.

Still want that bet... don't think so...

If you're trolling, this is awesome A+

If you're serious, this may be the funniest post I've ever seen on the internets, hahahaha.

Fine, I will...so you want a vid of 300 CARRY? It'll likely take me 3-4 tries to hit the friggen fairway trying for that...but they'll mostly be carrying that far. I have the perfect hole for it. 400yds straight with a 40yd fairway.
