making videos
i wanted to try making some videos of me playing poker. i bought a headset with microphone to also try and record comentary about what im thinking durning each hand. is it possible to do this using cam studio? i can make video but not voice or sound from the game is coming on to the video

Yes, you can use a microphone as an audio input. Camtasia is the best program out there for scren capturing (as indicated by its hefty price tag)

i really dont want to pay for anything. ummmmmm is it possible to make 2 seperate recordings then make another recording where the 2 are overlapped?

I don't know anything about screen recorders that include audio because I've never needed that option. However, I just looked at Cam Studio's website and it does allow audio. While I know nothing more about the software than what I've read, you must be doing something wrong since the audio isn't working. Try reading their FAQ and help section.

Try ZD Soft Screen Recorder, I use this to record video and have not used the audio option but it does appear to let you record from microphone.
