...dont know if this is known internationally, but i can remember that some years ago a pregnant women accused him of being the father of her unborn child and he meant it was sperm-theft...lolololol
and some weeks later, after he made himself to a joke with that comment which was press-released he said something like
i can't be the father, i only slept with her for some secounds...lololololol

[/ QUOTE ]

what?

[/ QUOTE ]

sorry, didnt rememberd correctly...its some years ago...here
the keypoints of the story translated by me-sorry for my schoolenglish:

the semen-theft in the closet
becker denied at first to had sex with the russian model.
a journalist constructed the bizarre plot of the sperm-theft.
after a dna-test becker made it public that he is the father.
while he denied the importance of the quickie ( "5 seconds,a failure that will hunt me a lifetime long")
ermakova was pointing out his qualities as a lover ("boris was like a young stallion")

http://www.focus.de/panorama/bouleva...id_139945.html
---------

Well he is still huge in germany. Except for Michael Schumacher, probably still the biggest name.
When he turned 40 a few days ago it seemed to be a big deal and he was certainly on all the german tv channels that I*m unfortunate to have on my tv.

I'm sure if anyone can bring even more germans to pokerstars, it's Boris.
Even in other european countries, the Uk too where he has been Wimbledon commentator, he is still a bigger name than I think 99 percent of active tennis players and certainly bigger than any poker player.

So like someone said, a huge signing that can't have been cheap, unless Boris really loves poker I guess.
I know he has had huge deals in the past with big sponsors like Mercedes.

orly? i believe that hassellllllhooffff is the biggest thing in germany ever !

C'mon, you guys are totally wrong, the only choice for Absolute would be Nikolay Davydenko.

Because America is a backward country where outmoded morality influences legislation and public image concerns of groups such as the professional sports leagues, do you think that if FTP signed Gilbert Arenas, he would get fined or suspended from play by the NBA? I'll bet it would create a scandal.

It seems that Wesley wasn't Crushing the games then ..

On Boris Becker : I expect him to suck.

He's a nice big fish with loads and loads of cash and he's no doubt attracted to the glamourous image poker has in movies and such (Casino Royale).

Reality will smack him hard in the face as some Stars regulars will quickly relieve him of all his money and then some.

I could be wrong though
