Default Can\'t Logon to Sites When Using VPN

I have a VPN client that is required to get into any and all of my employer applications. It includes a ton of security features as well, so I use it whenever I'm connected wirelessly...and not playing poker or chatting on AOL IM. This is because the poker sites and AOL IM won't let me logon when I use the VPN.

Is there a way to change this? What do I need to do to if so?

Thanks

I would assume you would have to force your poker client and chat client to use the VPN port.

Freakin should be able to elaborate

Are you able to access poker sites and AIM when you are in the office physically on the network (not just on VPN).

It is pretty likely that the traffic is being filtered by the corporate network, either intentionally or otherwise.

You should ask your IT guy why your AIM doesn't work while on your VPN, and it should give you an answer to both questions. It is unlikely they will allow you to access your poker site while on the VPN (regardless if it is on company time/equipment) because it is using the compnay network to access it.
