Default JJ in BB late in 10 freezout

I have been drinking too much to remember my reads on SB.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t4000 (7 handed) internettexasholdem.com

MP1 (t22140)
MP2 (t39503)
CO (t264683)
Button (t35576)
SB (t58084)
Hero (t56880)
UTG (t153926)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP2 calls t4000, CO calls t4000, 1 fold, SB raises to t16000, Hero...

with M<10 this is perfect for a push, even against a tight player you should be ahead of his range.

I move in here. But I'm not actually sure it's the best move. I'd expect SB to simply shove TT or AK, given the size of the limping stacks, so unless he has good reason to expect the limpers to fold, this looks very strong indeed. Nevertheless, what are you going to do? Folding is bad. Calling is worse.

Ok sorry guys I was really drunk when I busted out last night and a little pissed at myself so I just threw this hand up there. I was 8/15 to go, and I had just doubled up the hand before. I really don't remember having a read on the SB, but can everyone who is saying that folding is bad explain why? Say the villain has the tightest range possible, is folding still bad? Thanks for the replies.

Villain really can't have the tightest range though. The tightest range for a SB raise is like the top 20% of hands, which you still crush verily.

Not only that but, this looks like a good steal oppurtunity for an observant sb. I have put in raises in similar siutations with less than stellar hands like one gappers, small pp's and weak Ax's. That and your M would entice me to shoving.

Definite shove. JJ is a monster at short tables.
