It is sad. These girls aren't doing it for food and shelter though. That is available to thai familes.

One thing I did realize it is impossible to "help" a hooker directly unless you marry her, which a terrible idea unless you are really a useless human being.

I know people who own thai restraunts in a few countries she could probably work at and offered to help her go work there (minimum wage in many countries is more than she makes as a hooker). I also know a few thai people who own businesses that she could work at. She refused the whole thing. Just sorta was confused about it. Basically every answer to every question I ask her is "I dunno" "up to you".

Giving these girls money is pretty stupid. A lot of them have gambling+drug problems (I honestly don't think this girl has either, but who knows) and even if they give it to their families a lot of their families will piss it away.

We generally laugh about how stupid the guys are that are sending her money every month. I see her and a few others e-mail them about how they are her only love and they are waiting for them. She showed me the e-mails and I was just like "god these guys are dumb" was was like "why" then I explained that they think she loves them while she is working as a hooker and she was like "oh, yeah, I guess they are pretty stupid".

She was the only girl I have even attempted to "teach how to fish" and will be the last."

The root of the problem is really lack of education and poverty but it has to be fixed at the root IMO.

She does look/ generally act like a very normal and cute girl though. Aside from the hard-on part I feel pretty similar hanging out with her and holding a kitten.
