Wow, this thread really went south. I guess Maria won't be back to clear the air.

Guess not. Looks like she went south too.

I'd say so - try to hit their website.

www.ceopokertour.com promotes a second Venetian CEO Poker tour in late August; when you click on that for more information it has been removed from the website.

At the time I wrote - check their website - it was down. It was down that night for several hours so I though they may of pulled up stakes. Next morning it was back up.

A couple of days ago I couldn't find the CEO tournament listed at the Caesar's Palace website. Maybe they don't know that CEO is still advertising or maybe they'll still have it with/out knowledge of alleged scams.

I thought that someone said that mag/CEO were both run by Mario and Co. iirc Maybe just a good/bad rumor.

Edit: Maria could clear up some of these rumors with just a couple of more posts. lol

Maria
She climbs a tree and scrapes her knee
Her dress has got a tear
She waltzes on her way to Mass
And whistles on the stair
And underneath her wimple
She has curlers in her hair
I even heard her singing in the abbey

She's always late for chapel
But her penitence is real
She's always late for everything
Except for every meal
I hate to have to say it
But I very firmly feel
Maria's not an asset to the abbey

I'd like to say a word in her behalf
Maria makes me laugh

How do you solve a problem like Maria?
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?
How do you find a word that means Maria?
A flibbertijibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!

Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her
Many a thing she ought to understand
But how do you make her stay
And listen to all you say

How do you keep a wave upon the sand

Oh, how do you solve a problem like Maria?
How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?

When I'm with her I'm confused
Out of focus and bemused
And I never know exactly where I am
Unpredictable as weather
She's as flighty as a feather
She's a darling! She's a demon! She's a lamb!

She'd outpester any pest
Drive a hornet from its nest
She could throw a whirling dervish out of whirl
She is gentle! She is wild!
She's a riddle! She's a child!
She's a headache! She's an angel!
She's a girl!

How do you solve a problem like Maria?
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?
How do you find a word that means Maria?
A flibbertijibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!

Many a thing you know you'd like to tell her

I've e-mailed Caesars Palace poker room director Jim Pedula about this situation a couple times. I linked the two big threads in the e-mails.

Basically, he thanked for for linking the information and said he would look into it. He said they would only host the event if it was in the best interest of the players and Caesars Palace.

I happened to be in Caesars Palace tonight and inquired about the CEO Poker Tour with one of the floor people. The floorperson didn't know about the Tour (not unusual since it's scheduled to start November 25th). We checked a calender on the wall of the office and "CEO Poker Tour ------->" was penciled in on it. Though, I'm sure that was penciled in long before this controversey became public information.

My guess is the CEO Poker Tour will have difficulty hosting events at any casino which is informed about how they've conducted business.
