Default is the pottery barn full of idiots?

went to a wedding reception this weekend for the brother of my SO. They're mormon which means heathens can't see the actual wedding in the mosque or whatever. Anyways he and his new wife (supposedly mostly the wife) came up with the brilliant idea of buying ~$1500 in decorations from PB for this thing which was about 40 guests. These are things like paper mache plums/grapes, several expensive glass vases, fake snow, nice table runners, etc. As family we were there to set up early, and we were told to untie/clip etc the price tags so they can return the maximum of these items, I would say 90% of them were "salvagable". Will this actually work? And yes this is pretty funny to hear from a chick in a wedding dress wearing holy mormon underwear.

I hate people who do this [censored]. They should seriously consider killing themselves.

Having worked in retail, you'd be surprised the number of people who return Christmas lights the first week of January...

In a way, it makes sense, why store Christmas lights year round, when you can just buy and return a brand new set each year? But holy [censored], it doesn't get much cheesier than that! In most case we're talking about $20 in lights...

Are you implying that you weren't allowed into the wedding?

I can understand space considerations keeping me out of a wedding between more distant relations, but a fundamental disclusion like this would prevent me from taking them seriously as people.
