My inexpert thinking... We're looking at two other players, both of whom really liked that 8s. I have to figure that both of them either have a flush or a straight or else they're total fish. Pretty much any flush beats you and you beat the straights. I'd check this one. I'm assuming after I check, that button is going to bet. If SB raises, I'd seriously consider folding since I can't imagine raising this river if I had the straight.

Bet. There are a lot of possible two pair, straight, straight + fd, and set (sb) hands that can explain the heavy turn action. Your hand is good most of the time here.

What do you do if you bet and it comes back two more bets to you? FWIW I also advocate bet/call. PLayers will do very stupid things with a ten here or two pair + fd etc.

River = bet.

Pre-flop: Is calling a SB raise, getting 5:1, three way, standard for everyone?
